KUALA LUMPUR, 23 November 2018 - Dasein Fine Art fresh graduate Venice Tan Yi Ching bagged the Grand Prize and cash prize of RM8,000.00 at the Visual Art Pitch 3.0 (VAP3) organised by MyCreative Ventures.
Tan Yi Ching's relationship-themed installation entitled 'Connect' features hand prints of her family members and highlights the elements of the study of palmistry.
Visual Art Pitch (VAP) is a special pitch for visual arts initiated by MyCreative Ventures, a government investment arm that aims to spur Malaysia’s creative industry via strategic and innovative funding through equity or debt investments. VAP 3.0 features a compilation of 23 finalists comprising of sculptures, paintings, drawings, photography and installation artworks.
