PAST EVENT

Movers

December 13, 2011

‘Movers’ is a corporate identity work display by Dasein Graphic Design DGD 093 students. Guided by Mr. Ong Chung Ping, it presents the corporate identity and stationery design of over 20 hypothetical courier or transportation service providers which include name cards, letterheads, envelopes, shipping documents, note pads and the like; produced exclusively for the theme “Movers”.

Unlike the traditional way of using posters to promote the event, they kept it in suspense by shrink wrapping the fixtures and fittings ranged from basin, chair, waste basket, door handle, display cabinet, poster frame in Dasein building. It had drawn much curiosity. Only two days later, the ‘Movers’ labels appeared and unveiled the suspense which took the viewers by surprise.

The exhibit was set up akin to a warehouse with corrugated boxes shrink wrapped and placed on wooden pallets which fit the bill. Some packaging boxes featuring the logos designed by the students were placed at two corners. It’s as if a shipping company is in operation. And the projector screen featured an opened box with an overview of each corporate design in display added an interesting touch to the exhibit.
