The tertiary education of art and design can be costly as compared to other courses due to the increase in academic standards and additional utility of equipment and art materials. However, the reward of a creative career is usually more satisfying as it will eventually become a life-long professional exploration and personal achievement.
In line with our vision to be an education hub with global creative standards to constantly produce inspired, creative, responsible and influential students, Dasein Academy of Art provides various merit-based or need-based scholarship and study grant schemes to support talented students with financial constraints to kickstart their studies and career in the profession of art and design.
Annually, the college awards scholarships and study grants worth more than RM2 million based on evaluations and recommendations by the Dasein Scholarship Committee.
The DASEIN-EXSIM Full Scholarship is supported by property developer, EXSIM Group as part of their commitment to sustainable education by providing financial support for deserving and well-qualified students in Malaysia to pursuing their studies in the creative arts. Students will need to demonstrate outstanding academic results and art portfolio for scholarship application which opens only once a year. Shortlisted applicants are required to go through interviews with the Dasein Scholarship Committee.

The scholarship is offered strictly to newly enrolled and registered students undertaking Diploma programmes at Dasein Academy of Art.

Scholarships are awarded as tuition fee deductions only; they are not cash awards. If the scholarship amount exceeds the tuition fee payable for the year, the recipient will receive a waiver up to the maximum tuition fee payable for that year.

Miscellaneous fees must be paid as required, following Dasein Academy of Art’s enrollment and fee policies.

Scholarship recipients must achieve a minimum of GPA 3.6 during Year 1 Sem 1 - Year 2 Sem 4, and a minimum of GPA 3.3 during Year 2 Sem 5 - Year 3 Sem 8. Failure to meet this standard will result in forfeiture of the scholarship for that semester.

The scholarship covers tuition fees only for subjects enrolled for the first time (first attempt). Fees for re-sit or re-take subjects are not covered.

For students eligible for other scholarship rebates (e.g., study grants, Top Student Awards), the scholarship applies to the net balance of tuition fees after deduction of relevant rebates or bursaries.

If a recipient withdraws, is suspended, or terminated, the scholarship will automatically terminate. If withdrawal is due to medical reasons, the scholarship may be retained at the College’s discretion, provided adequate supporting medical documents are submitted.

In such cases, Dasein Academy of Art reserves the right to recover fees on a pro-rata basis, calculated according to the benefit received.

If the recipient accepts any other scholarship, this scholarship will be terminated automatically, and the College may recover fees pro-rata based on the benefit received.

The scholarship duration is up to the completion of the specified study period. Extensions are not allowed.

In case of any eligibility disputes, the decision of the Dasein Scholarship Committee is final.

Dasein Academy of Art may alter, add, or remove any terms or conditions of the scholarship at any time.

The College may involve scholarship recipients in interviews, advertisements, photography, or other publicity, including the Student Ambassador programme, to promote the institution.

The College may also involve students in extra-curricular activities, competitions, or additional course-based modules to prepare them for a multifaceted career.

Non-compliance with any scholarship terms may be considered a breach of contract.

The scholarship is offered strictly to enrolled full-time students who have paid their registration fees. Recipients must complete the entire course duration.

Recipients are required to sign and accept all terms and conditions, including amendments, instructions, and notifications from Dasein Academy of Art. By doing so, recipients are deemed to have fully accepted and agreed to all scholarship terms throughout the programme.

The Sin Chew Daily Education Fund Scholarship is in partnership with Sin Chew Daily as part of the college's pledge to providing financial support for the poor and needy students in Malaysia to pursuing their studies in the creative arts. Students will need to fulfill the minimum (academic) entry requirement and prepare art portfolio (if any) for scholarship application which opens only once a year via Sin Chew Daily newspapers or Sin Chew Daily Education Fund official website. Shortlisted applicants are required to go through interviews with the Dasein Scholarship Committee.
- Applicant is required to submit SPM / UEC / O-level or other equivalent qualifications results upon the application. Forecast result is not accepted. Validity of academic certificate is limited to 3 years from the date of issuance.
- Applicant is required to complete and submit the Dasein Scholarship & Study Grant Application Form together with all required supporting documents.
- The Sin Chew Daily Education Fund Scholarship is only open for new enrollment and offered strictly to full-time registered students at Dasein Academy of Art. The scholarship applies to the year of admission, and not the year of application.
- The minimum criteria for the scholarship application can be referred at Sin Chew Daily Education Fund official website.
- Application for 2026 intake will be announced later on via Sin Chew Daily Education Fund. Incomplete or late submissions will not be entertained. Selected candidates will be contacted for interview, failure to attend may lead to disqualification unless valid reasons and supporting documents are presented.
- The scholarship quantum awarded is in the form of tuition fee deduction; it is not a cash award. The schedule of miscellaneous fees must be paid as and when required, in accordance to Dasein Academy of Art’s policy on enrollment and fees. The scholarship only covers tuition fee deduction in subjects enrolled for the first time (first attempt only), NOT for the 're-sit' or ‘repeat’ subjects.
- Scholarship recipient must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 and above in every semester. Failure to fulfill the minimum requirement will lead to forfeiture of scholarship for that particular semester.
- In the event that the recipient withdraws from the program, is suspended or terminated by Dasein Academy of Art at any point in time, before the completion of the program, the scholarship shall be automatically terminated. However, should the recipient withdraw from the program due to the medical reasons, his/her scholarship may be retained, subject to the absolute discretion of the committee, and only after the recipient has provided adequate supporting medical documents acceptable to Dasein Academy of Art.
- Should such withdrawal, termination or suspension occur, Dasein Academy of Art reserves the right to claim for the recovery of fees due, which are calculated on a pro rata basis. This is on the valuable benefit received by the recipient.
- Dasein Academy of Art reserves the right to alter, add or delete any of the terms and condition and scholarship scheme at any point in time as and when Dasein Academy of Art deems necessary. In the event of a dispute on the eligibility for the scholarship, the decision made by the Dasein Scholarship Committee is final.
- Dasein Academy of Art reserves the right to involve the scholarship recipient in interviews, advertisements, photography or other publicity related activities for the purpose of promoting the institution.
- The scholarship will be considered and reviewed, then offered strictly to enrolled, full-time students of Dasein Academy of Art that had settled their registration fees. It is mandatory that the recipient completes the entire duration of the course.
- Each applicant must obtain consent from his/her parent/guardian. Non-compliance to any of the terms and conditions related to the relevant scholarship would result to a breach of contract.
The Dasein Study Grant by Portfolio, introduced in 2019, is a scholarship that supports and recognises Malaysian students with strong artistic talent and outstanding portfolios who wish to pursue studies in the creative arts. The grant is open for application across all intakes each year. Applicants must submit an exceptional art portfolio, and shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview with the Dasein Scholarship Committee for portfolio verification.

- Applicants are required to submit their School Leaving Certificate or other relevant recognition certificates that clearly states the clubs and/or societies and the position they held in that organization upon the application. Ordinary members are not considered for the grant application.
- The Dasein Leadership Study Grant is offered strictly to full-time registered students in diploma programs at Dasein Academy of Art. The scholarship applies to the year of admission, and not the year of application.
- Students are required to pay off their first semester tuition fees before the commencement date of the semester or prior to the first day of class. Upon the approval of the study grant, the tuition fee waiver will take effect in 5 long semesters (Year 1 Semester 2 / Year 2 Semester 1 / Year 2 Semester 2 / Year 3 Semester 1 / Year 3 Semester 2) accordingly.
- Study grants will be released for the following semester after being approved (unless otherwise stated). Study grants offered are not transferable nor exchangeable for cash.
- The student will be repeating the semester if unsatisfactory performance or academic misconduct occurs. The student has to bear his/her own full tuition fees for that repeated semester.
- Should the student withdraw from studies or be expelled from school, the study grant will automatically be forfeited immediately.
- Should the successful applicant deferred due to personal problems during the term of the scholarship, he/she will be allowed to retain the scholarship status for one year. After this period, it will be forfeited automatically.
- All application forms and/or supporting documents must be submitted to the Dasein Finance Department within 3 weeks after the date of class commencement.

Dasein Top Student Award (Partial Tuition Fee Waiver)
The Dasein Top Student Award is a long-running scholarship program as part of the college's commitment to recognize students with great performance or major improvements by providing additional tuition fee waivers based on their study progress and learning effort. Every semester, students with the best performance (highest GPA) and major improvement (based on the observation and evaluation of the Dasein Academic Board) will be selected to receive additional tuition fee waivers for their program.
The recipients of the Dasein Top Student Award is announced and recognized via posters at the campus in addition to the tuition fee waivers provided. The announcement posters below feature top 3 recent recipients list and will be updated by-semester basis.
- This instalment plan is only applicable to student enrolled in Dasein Academy of Art's full-time, diploma and certificate programs.
- Application form, declaration letter (from parents / guardian) and a copy of student IC must be submitted to the Dasein Finance Department within 1 week after the date of class commencement.
- Registration fees and miscellaneous fees do not form part of the instalment plan, and must be paid in the first instalment.
- Fee payments are divided into 3 instalments (unless otherwise stated) according to the payment schedule prepared by the Dasein Finance Department which will be advised in advance.
- Late fees payment may lead to penalties including (but not limited to) : not able to obtain your exam results, not able to apply to graduate, late payment fees charges being imposed.
- An administrative fee of 1% will be levied on the total instalment amount.
